Itinerary
|
Day 01:
|
Fly Kathmandu to
Paro. Drive to your hotel. In the afternoon, stroll
around the little town of Paro if time permits. (D)

Day 02: |
Visit Paro including Drugyel Dzong, Rinpung Dzong and Ta
Dzong. (B,L,D) |
|
Day 03: |
Drive to Thimpu. Visit Simtokha Dzong enroute. Visit
Thimpu including National library, painting school,
Memorial Chorten & Tashicho Dzong. (B,L,D)

Day 04: |
Drive to Wangduephodrang via Dochula pass (3,050m).
Check in at your hotel. (B,L,D) |

Day 05: |
Day excursion to the Gangtey Gompa valley at an altitude
of 2,800m. The only Nyingmapa monastery in western
Bhutan is located here. This beautiful valley is also
home to the rare black-necked Cranes migrating from the
Tibetan plateau to escape the harsh winter. (B,L,D)

Day 06: |
Today will be a long crossing 3 passes over 3,000m.
Picnic lunch will be served at the 18th century
Chendebji Chorten. Drive on to Trongsa. Proceed on to
Bumthang visiting the Chume weaving center. Overnight at
your Guest House. (B,L,D) |

Day 07: |
Bumthang altitude 2600m, has an individuality that
charms its visitors and separates it from other regions.
Visit the Jakar Dzong, 7th century Jambay Lhakhang,
Kurjey monastery, Tamshing and Kunchosum monastery. (B,L,D)

Day 08:
|
Excursion 2 hours to Ura village and visit the new Ura
monastery. On the way visit the Mebartso meaning burning
lake. Stroll around the village and return back to Guest
house. Evening walk to the Swiss farm where apple
juices, cider, cheese etc; are made. (B,L,D)

Day 09: |
Drive back to Wangduephodrang. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 10:
|
Drive to Thimpu visiting Punakha Dzong. After lunch,
drive back to Paro. (B,L,D) |

Day 11:
|
Day hike to the view point of Taktsang monastery. Horses
can be arranged with an extra cost. (B,L,D)

Day 12:
|
Transfer to
airport where the guide will help you with the final
departure formalities. (B) |
